Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University are pleased to offer a one–year non–accredited Pediatric Neuroradiology fellowship position for2022–23 academic year.Candidates should be ABR–certified or eligible in Diagnostic Radiology and have completed an accredited fellowship in Neuroradiology or Pediatric Radiology.
Lurie Children’s is a 364–bed hospitalmaking it one of the largest pediatriccare providersin the region andone of the leading Children’s Hospital’sin the nation. The Division of Pediatric Neuroradiology is staffed by seven full–time fellowship trained pediatric neuroradiologists. Our faculty are dedicated to excellence in clinical neuroradiology, education,and neuroimaging research.
The hospital has a large brain tumor program,a level–4 epilepsy centerand a regional fetal surgery program. In addition, the hospital has busy neurology, neurocritical care, otolaryngologyand head & neckservices. The fellowship provides extensive experience in all neuroimaging modalities, including CT, MRI, PET/SPECT and advancedneuroimagingtechniques including perfusion, DTI, MR spectroscopy and fMRI. A 3D post–processing lab assists with advanced neuroimaging examinations. Fetal MRI is performed by dedicated fetal imagers and neuroangiography is performed by interventional neuroradiologists. More extensive dedicatedexposure to thesesubspecialized servicesis available to interested candidates.The fellowship also has a strong academic component with opportunities and support for research projects and teaching endeavors.
