At Large Director Nominations

Senior At Large Junior At Large Application Selection Timeline Submit Nomination

As we continually seek to expand member engagement in the Society, we are soliciting applications for newly established “At Large” positions on the ASPNR Board of Directors. These At Large positions will allow for increased involvement and influence within the ASPNR, expand professional networks, and afford the opportunity to work with some amazing (and fun) colleagues!  At Large members will be selected by the membership from a list of finalists via an email ballot late this Fall, and terms will begin at our 2024 Annual Meeting in January. 

At Large Director Positions:

  • General: Senior and Junior At Large Directors will have the same duties and responsibilities as all other members of the ASPNR Board

  • General Eligibility:

    • Self-nominations are required

    • Must have completed radiology training and be in active clinical practice at the time of application and throughout the duration of the At Large term on the Board

    • Must be available to attend standing Board meetings, which are currently scheduled on weekdays between 6-8 pm US Eastern Time (EST/EDT)

  • General Exclusions:

    • May not serve on an Executive Committee or Board of Directors of another Radiology or Medical Society at the time of application or during the tenure of an At Large position

    • Cannot have previously served on the ASPNR Executive Committee or Board of Directors

Senior At Large Position

  • Eligibility:

    • Active general member in good standing for greater than or equal to seven (7) consecutive years following completion of radiology training at the time of application

    • Must show current or prior contributions to the ASPNR

      • E.g., serve(d) on an ASPNR Committee, contributed to ASPNR educational programs or content, etc.

  • Exclusions: Cannot be from the same institution as current ASPNR Board member

  • Term: 2-year term, not renewable

  • Number of Positions Available: One (1)

Junior At Large Position

  • Eligibility:

    • Active general member in good standing within seven (7) years of completion of radiology training at the time of application

    • Preference is given to members with current or prior contributions to the ASPNR

  • Term: 1-year term, not renewable

  • Number of Positions Available: One (1)

Application Process

  • Applications must include:

    • Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the nominee

    • Personal Statement

      • Highlight any contributions to ASPNR and why you would like to serve the membership as an At Large Director

      • Maximum of one page, double-spaced, minimum font size of 12

Selection Process

  • ASPNR Board selects finalists for each available At Large position

    • Maximum of 3 finalists for an At Large position

  • Board-approved finalists sent out to the general membership for an email ballot
