Dr. William (“Bill”) O’Brien Appointed Chief of Neuroradiology at Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital, Orlando, FL!

William (“Bill”) T. O’Brien, Sr., DO, FAOCR has been appointed Chief of Neuroradiology at Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital in Orlando, FL, in support of Orlando Health’s Pediatric Neuroscience Center of Excellence. Thus, Bill is moving south to sunny climes with his wife and daughter!

Bill served as Chief of Neuroradiology and Director of the Pediatric Neuroradiology Fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where he was Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Cincinnati.

He is an active member of the ASPNR and serves on ASPNR’s Board of Directors. Bill lectures extensively on topics of pediatric neuroradiology and is primarily focused on head and neck pathology in children. He is also Chair of ASPNR’s E-learning Library Committee, which is developing a core curriculum of online lectures that will cover the essentials of pediatric neuroradiology for society members.

Bill received his undergraduate degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at David Grant USAF Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base, CA and Neuroradiology and Pediatric Neuroradiology Fellowships at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. He also completed a 20-year military career, including assignments as a Radiology Residency Program Director and Radiology Department Chairman, and retired from active duty in 2017. He is a Past President of the American Osteopathic College of Radiology.
