Gene & Cell Therapy Interest Group

Join us for the second meeting of our interest group which is now partnering with the ASNR and ASFNR in a joint study group to share our expertise! Following several presentations of current research in gene therapies, we shall strategize ways to develop collaborative projects in order to advance the role of imaging in this exciting emerging field for pediatric neurologic disorders. Objectives include:

  • Develop recommendations for appropriate, consistent imaging biomarkers
  • Expand collaborative imaging databases in the natural history of disease evolution, to serve as a comparison with treatment outcomes
  • Identify novel imaging phenotypes that may arise secondary to gene therapies
  • Establish appropriate imaging strategies to guide delivery routes
  • Strengthen collaboration with clinical and industry stakeholders to design and implement trials and to develop new technologies to support gene-modifying and cellular therapies
  • Advance research led by Pediatric Neuroradiologists
