ASPNR committees play a vital role in advancing the mission of the society. By volunteering, members have the opportunity to contribute their expertise, connect with colleagues, and help shape the future of Pediatric Neuroradiology. The Awards and Abstracts Committee reviews all submitted abstracts for the ASPNR Annual Scientific Meeting. Committee members evaluate each submission to help determine which will be selected as Oral Presentations, Poster Spotlights, or Educational Scientific Posters. During the annual meeting, the committee also reviews the posters to determine the winners of the various poster awards.
The Case of the Week Committee works with the committee chair to develop and curate engaging pediatric neuroradiology cases. These cases are shared on the ASPNR website and social media, providing valuable learning opportunities and fostering community engagement.
The E-Learning Library Committee oversees ASPNR’s E-Learning Library within the membership portal. The committee reviews current and past videos to determine which series may need updated content and ensures the library remains accurate and relevant. In addition, members contribute ideas and help develop new content to expand and enhance the library’s educational offerings.
The Fundraising Committee supports ASPNR’s efforts to grow and sustain the Barkovich, Naidich, Harwood-Nash (BNH) Fund. The committee develops strategies and initiatives to encourage donations, helping to advance pediatric neuroradiology research and education.
The Membership Committee reviews all incoming membership applications to ensure they meet ASPNR’s eligibility guidelines and are complete with the required documentation. In addition, the committee develops ideas and initiatives to strengthen member engagement, helping to create meaningful connections and enhance the overall membership experience.
The Mentorship Committee is responsible for developing and overseeing ASPNR’s mentorship program, creating opportunities that connect members across career stages. Through its work, the committee fosters professional growth, guidance, and meaningful relationships within the society.
The Research Grant Committee reviews all applications submitted for the ASPNR-Guerbet Research Grant and the ASPNR-ASNR Research Grant. These are extensive applications requiring careful evaluation, and the committee holds a major meeting each fall to thoroughly review and discuss each submission before selecting awardees.
The Social Media Committee maintains ASPNR’s social media platforms and ensures consistent, timely posting across channels. The committee highlights the Annual Scientific Meeting, promotes society initiatives, and shares information to engage members and the broader community.
The Travel Awards and Stipends Committee reviews and evaluates applications for ASPNR’s travel awards, which are made possible through generous donations. The committee is the busiest during Fall , when members carefully review and score applications to determine award recipients.
