IN MEMORIAM: THOMAS SLOVIS M.D., FACR
Dear ASPNR members,
It is with enormous regret that I must inform you all of the passing of Thomas Slovis M.D., FACR, our beloved and esteemed colleague. Tom was a major force in our pediatric radiology and pediatric neuroradiology circle. He had an encyclopedic knowledge in regard to pediatric radiology and pediatric neuroradiology. He had an engaging personality, taking an active interest in all the members and guests, and continued to promote the advancement and welfare of our society, as well as the field of Pediatric Radiology, both nationally and internationally. He was a great friend and mentor, and encouraged many of us to push the limits in our field. He served as assistant editor and editor for the journal Pediatric Radiology for eighteen years and he was a significant contributor to Caffey’s Textbook of Pediatric Diagnostic Imaging. He will be greatly missed by all of us who knew him.
